I can SEE!!!

That's right, I can finally see without contacts or glasses now! I got LASIK surgery done on February 25th and it was the best thing ever. I have to admit that I was pretty nervous because I really didn't know what to expect and then there is that thought in the back of my mind (Am I ever going to be able to see my kids faces again). I know that noone really ever goes blind from this, but it just made me appreciate what Heavenly Father has blessed me with. I'm so greatful for the great health that I have and that I'm able to take care of my children and be an 'okay' mom to them.

Anyway, so yeah the surgery went great. My wonderful friend watched all three kids for me, and my father in law took me to my appointment. He has had Lasik done before so he prepared me for what I was about to do, it was very helpful(Thanks Norm, you are the best!). Jason did show up to take me home. Things were a bit blurry at first and then the Valium had kicked in and made me pretty tired, so I just rested for the afternoon.

So if anyone is thinking about getting LASIK done, I highly recommend it. What a great thing to be able to wake up in the morning or middle of the night and be able to SEE! I am still not used to that part yet, thinking that I need to go put my glasses on, silly I know.

Happy Valentines Day!

Well we barely made it home for Valentines Day. We got home from Las Vegas at 2:30am on the 14th and we were very exhausted. The kids slept pretty good in the car, althought they did wake each other up a few times. But we are glad to be home and to know that we aren't going on any far away vacations for quite a while. We are done with traveling, because for the past few weeks I have taken each kid to the Doctor for something different. I took Henry today and he has an ear infection(he kept me up from 3-6 last night). At least we got some meds for it now. We don't do much for the kids for Valentines day, but I wanted to get them each a little Valentines case with a couple treats in it, a couple of books, and then the Cootie game to share. They had fun with it and were pretty excited. Katelyn says that Halloween is still her favorite holiday(more treats)! Sorry sis, it won't be here for quite a while!

My Sisters Wedding!

We got to go down to Las Vegas this past weekend for my sisters wedding! It was so neat to see her so happy after everything that she has been through in her life. As many of you know she has had a lot of trials such as, she lost her little boy back in 2000 when he was 17 months old from a farm accident. Then she lost her husband in November of 2008 after a 4 1/2 year battle with Lukemia. So yeah I think that she deserves a bit of happiness in her life. She met Dave about a year ago and they seem to be very happy.

They are in Hawaii on their honeymoon and I'm so excited because all the kids in our family went in together to get them a helicopter tour on the Island of Kauai, so I think that would be a ton of fun! I hope that they have a great time!

The little flower girls looked so cute all matching, unfortunetly when it came to picture time they were not the best troopers. That's what you get when half of them are under two!

What an evening!

We had quite the crazy evening last night. Everything was going just great, I had the kids playing outside with the neighbors, riding bikes, and getting some energy out of their system. I was helping one of the neighbor kids put on some rollerskates when Katelyn came running over to me yelling 'Morgan fell and is bleeding.' So I go run over and pick Morgan up off the ground(cement) to find her face covered in blood. I had no idea what had happened at first but come to find out, she had been standing up in the stroller the kids were pushing her around in and she tipped backwards and faceplanted into the street. I think that her nose took the brunt of the fall because she was constantly bleeding from both nostrils all evening. It was quite a crazy moment for me because I was watching about 8 kids with no other adults in site. Poor little girl was just miserable, and to top it off she is already trying to fight off the bronchitis that she has.
This picture was taken this morning and she had dried blood and scraps all over her nose that she wouldn't let me touch. She is back to her fun and happy little self so that is a relief. Thank goodness we have an ER Doctor in the family to call and get diagnosis's from, we really thought that she may have broken her nose, but I think that it is just banged up pretty good. So to top it all off, this wasn't the end to our wonderful evening. Just after dinner Henry was going through one of Katelyns purses and started playing with some perfume. I don't know what he was trying to do but he started screaming and come to find out, he had sprayed the perfume in both of his eyes. Not one, but two eyes. Luckily Jason and his parents were home this time and helped hold him down so we could try and wash his eyes out. He didn't like it at all, so we put him in the shower with two very red eyes. Could anything else happen?
We told Katelyn she had better just go to bed before something happens to her too! I do blame this on their dad, because Jason has had stitches 23 times in his life so my kids injuries are because of him! Jks!

California Trip!

After a long cold January we were really excited to leave the state for a bit warmer weather, as we headed down to Disneyland last week and had a blast! We met up with some friends from Law School that live in Colorado and Las Vegas. What a great idea to all go on a trip, we haven't seen some of them for 3 1/2 years.

The kids had a blast and are wanting to go back already! We went to Disneyland for three days and it poured one of the days(all day long). It wasn't too bad because we had raincoats and gear on, but we got cold by the end of the day. The lines weren't too bad because of the bad weather. The kids all got along and each family ended up having a sick child most of the time. I took Morgan to the Dr. when we got back and she has 'bronchitis.' She was a real trooper though.

The Penalozas used to live on our street in North Salt Lake and moved the day I had Morgan. The kids were so excited to see each other and didn't want to have to say goodbye. It was pretty cute!

Our flight ended up getting delayed a couple of hours and luckily we found out just before we got to the airport, so we headed to the beach for a bit. The kids had a lot of fun running around getting wet.

We had a great time together with our little family. The kids got tons of signatures from the characters, and loved riding on all the rides. What a fabulous trip!

Our Trip to Disneyland!

Christmas Time!

Every year we all have to try and get a picture of the kids with Santa. The were actually able to see him a couple of times but this happened to be the one time I had my camera(at our ward party), and it also happened to not be Morgans best time. She wasn't too happy with Santa, as you can see. This one will be used at her wedding some day. Too cute!

Katelyn was so excited because Santa knew her name when she came up to see him. What a great Santa he was! We drove up to Canada on the 19th so that we could go to the temple with Jasons dad and step mom Lorraine and see them get sealed for 'time and all eternity.' It was such a neat experience. Lorraine was also sealed to her parents right afterwards. I'm glad that they arranged it so that we could be there with them. A few days later we drove down to Echo Lake, MT to my parents cabin where we would spend Christmas. My brothers cute little twins who are almost 1 loved following Morgan around(Nash and Evelyn). Can you believe that they are almost a whole year younger than Morgan? She is so little for her age.

Here is my Russian brother, Jesse with all the kids! We all had a good laugh when he came out with that hat, coat, boots, and shorts(check out those legs). It was a great moment, thanks for being so quirky Jesse!

Morgan got her first haircut while we were there by Jordan(Jesses girlfriend). Now she doesn't have a little mullet.

The kids are all getting ready to open their Christmas pj's. We couldn't hold Morgan back any longer, she kept opening a bunch of gifts that she wasn't supposed to! They all got cute little slippers to go with their pj's as well!

Out of all the toys that Henry got, he said that this backpack was his favorite thing. It was probably the last thing that I got too.

I must share one story of Henry from our trip. Henry has been potty trained since the summer, but as most kids have accidents, Henry does to. He came up to me and said, 'Mom I went Poop,' so I took him to the potty and there were a few skids in his underwear and on his butt, so after I cleaned it up I stuck him in the bathtub. He then said to me 'I went poop downstairs on the floor,' so I then went to check it out and couldn't find it anywhere because I didn't know where he was playing at. Meanwhile, my brother comes inside the basement door and yells 'Who's kid crapped on the floor?' I ran down knowing who's child it was and felt so dumb, but luckily it was on the cement, so I got to clean up that wonderful mess. And yes Henry went down for a nap right after that. What an exciting thing it is to have a boy!

Sometime why'll we were at the cabin, Morgan banged her head(we think it was on the table) and then she sported a huge bump on her forehead with two blackeyes. They looked a lot worse than you can see from this picture. I felt so bad for her. Poor child! If anyone wants to report us, it was Jasons turn to be watching her! :)
