Elder Folsom!

What a great day! My cute little cousin(not so little anymore) Elder Johnny Folsom who was just like a little brother to me got home from his mission today. He served in the Guadalajara Mexico Mission. We were all so excited to be able to go to the airport and welcome him home. The kids love Johnny, but were being shy when they finally saw him. We made some cute little posters! I sure love this kid. It was great seeing him, although I felt bad for him because I'm sure that he was pretty overwhelmed. The English language was a bit confusing to him because it had been so long since he spoke it frequently.

Raging Waters!

Katelyn had a dance performance at 'Raging Waters' so we made a family outing of it. The kids had a blast with their friends and going on the slides. Although, I think the adults just may have had a little more fun then the kids this time.
They were having a splash contest so we made the guys enter (Jason, Shane and Steve) it, and they all got 2 free park passes so us girls (Kristina and I) thought why not, but I guess our splash wasn't quite as big as the guys because we just got free ice cream sandwiches. But hey it was worth the fun!

Kindergarten Graduation!

Our big girl is moving on to bigger and better things, and longer days of school next year. I don't know what I'm going to do without her around to help out. Katelyn and a few of her friends that were in her class this year.

Katelyn had the best teacher ever, Mrs. Wells was so much fun, the kids absolutely loved her!
They sang a few songs and performed for the parents, it was so cute and they did a great job.

Preschool Program!

Henry is officially done with his first year of preschool. He loves Ms. Amy, she is the best teacher ever. He was so excited for us to come and watch him sing some cute little songs. He did a great job too. He participated really well, it was cute!

Wheeler Farm

We got to go to Wheeler Farm with Katelyns kindergarten class for their field trip. The kids all had so much fun seeing the horses, cows, pigs, sheep, goats, chickens, etc. These little pigglets were my favorite, they were so cute and tiny!
We even got to go on a hay ride around the farm!

Morgan was holding some food to feed the ducks with, it was cute watching her with it. She had a great day with all the animals!

Katelyns favorite thing about the whole field trip was probably the bus ride, who doesn't like a bus ride once in a while.

Jason asked Henry if he wanted him to take his training wheels off and he was so excited about it. I thought that it was a mistake because he is a lot younger than Katelyn was when she learned. Anyway, he was absolutely amazing at it. He needed a little help starting but he could turn and stop and was great at it. He was so proud of himself, as we were of him to!

A week later he wanted to ride Katelyns bike which is quite a bit bigger than his, so I let him and to my amazement he could do it. I couldn't believe it, what a crazy kid. I guess if you put your mind to something than it can be done!

Henrys 4th Birthday!

May 9th

Wow, 4 years ago doesn't seem that far away. It was such a busy time for us, as Jason was preparing to graduate from law school and I was preparing to have our second child. Well Henry couldn't have timed it more perfectly, he came right on his due date which also happened to be daddys first day of finals. Crazy!!!

Henry was my biggest baby so far, weighing in at 8lbs 10oz, but was probably the easiest delivery for some reason. Henry has always been such a joyful kid and wonderful sleeper. He always says to me, 'Mom, your the best mom I've never had!' He looks at me with those big blue eyes and just smiles, it breaks my heart! Katelyn was so excited to meet baby Henry at the hospital, and I love her hair in this picture(thanks to Emily Allred who had been watching her). Our little family was slowly growing, one at a time, which I preferred.
Henry came running into our room on his birthday yelling 'It's my Birthday!' He couldn't wait for this day to come. He ate a little breakfast in our bed and then ran downstairs to see all his presents from everyone. He was one happy Boy!

We went over to Grandma Tatros for dinner and then ate Henrys birthday cake with his cousins. He got to pick the cake out all by himself, so he chose a Dairy Queen Madagascar Cake. He wasn't too excited to share it with everyone, but he ended up caving in.

The kids love taking their turns and eating on the special plate, so we let Henry have his turn today!

The Highlight of Henrys whole birthday came a few weeks later when we surprised him with a family outing to Heber for 'A Day Out With Thomas!' Instead of doing a birthday party, I couldn't pass this up because of his love and compassion for trains. I've never seen a boy who loves trains more than Henry, and you should've seen the look on his face when he saw Thomas. He was absolutely ecstatic, and had a terrific time. All the kids loved it and enjoyed themselves.

Marvelous May!!!

As you can tell from me not blogging in a long time, may was another very busy month for our family. We had a lot going on and a few pictures to show for it.

This picture is taken from Mothers Day where we had dinner at Jasons moms house. It was also Henrys birthday so I got to share this day with my cute little boy. Jason didn't even get to make me breakfast in bed because it was fast Sunday in our ward(lucky guy)! He was good to me for the day though!

Since it was fast Sunday for us, we both had the opportunity of bearing our testimonies. It was an emotional day for me because I'm so greatful for all the wonderful mothers and their examples in my own life. Also, my dear Grandmother who passed away this fall was such a wonderful example to me and we all miss her so much.

My mother in laws are both such wonderful mothers to me as well, and I'm so greatful to have them in my life. Also my sisters and I are very close, which has been so nice on those stressful mothering days when we all have to vent, they are so great to me and to be there for me when I need them. And last but not least, my own Mother who has always been there for me and has taught me so much. I hope that she knows how much I love and appreciate her! My good friend Kristina had a birthday so we went and literally got her out of bed at 6:15am(way too early) and took her out to breakfast. She was very surprised, but enjoyed it very much.
I got to go with Henrys preschool class on their field trip to 'Hogle Zoo.' The kids loved every minute of seeing the animals. We got to see a cute baby elephant! We had a great time!

Katelyn had a couple of days off of school for testing, so while Henry was at school we had a girls day out and got our nails done. They even painted Morgans too. She loved it!

5K Race!!!

In May my cute mother in laws school has a 5K race/carnival fundraiser every year so we thought that we would join in. Katelyn was so excited to run it with her mom. We even both got our own bib numbers, so we were definetly professionals. It was so cute, but we kind of cheated a bit. Henry was riding his scooter and getting a bit tired, so we skipped out on one of the loops, but hey we put forth the effort so thats all that counts. We look like we are running pretty hard, eh?
The kids had a lot of fun at the carnival afterwards. They had the cutest little train ride that Henry was super excited about. It was a fun afternoon with the kids and they were pretty good for me, so that's a bonus.

Soccer Season!!!

Once again we had a fun time watching the kids play soccer! Grandma and Grandpa Tatro were the kids biggest fans and tried to make it to as many games as possible!

Here we are at one of Katelyns soccer games and they are waiting patiently on the sidelines for their turn to go in. She has improved so much and absolutely loves playing soccer. She said to me that she hopes to be as good as her cousin 'Aubree' one day! Too cute! Jason coached Katelyns soccer team once again and the girls loved him, he is really good with them and enjoys doing it. I was the Age Group Coordinator(Commissioner) for Katelyns soccer league(12 teams). It's fun to be involved in the community and to know whats going on(plus I don't have to pay for Katelyn for doing it-bonus).
Here we are at one of Henrys soccer games. He has definetly improved since the fall, but we still have a lot of work to do. He gets a bit intimidated when the other kids try to take the ball away from him, so we'll see how next year goes.

I managed to snag a picture of Henry during one of the few times that he actually went for the ball. He can be aggressive if he really wants to!
