Ward Campout!

We had our Ward Campout on Sept. 25 and it was sooooo much fun! We had such a great turnout and the weather was great for this time of the year. Yes a bit chilly at night but could've been a lot worse. Here is Morgan and a little friend(Makayla Williams). Bawdens and Plowmans enjoying their food! =)
We had some fun little races for everyone the next morning! They all had a blast and it was fun watching all the different kinds of races that we did, ex. three legged, piggyback, wheelbarrow, crab walk, backwards, and different age groups, it was great.
Here is Henry giving it his all!
Run Morgan run, thanks Jamie for the help. She had two pairs of pjs on so she couldn't really move all that fast! It was worth the try though!
Here is the piggyback race! Jason is on the right with Henry!Katelyn and a bunch of the girls that she played with getting ready for their big race! They played hard the whole time, we let Katelyn sleep in a tent with four other girls and I'm not quite sure she got very much sleep! She had a blast though!

Visit from the Allreds!

Henry, Abby, Katelyn, and Grace! We were able to have some great friends stop by for a visit on Sept. 25. We met the Allreds when we lived in Boston and Jason and Reid went to law school together. It was so great to have them stop by for a little bit of catching up and letting the kids get to know one another better. Thanks Emily for thinking of me on your busy trip to see all your family!

Happy Birthday Grandma Folsom!

For the past two years my wonderful Grandma has been battling lung cancer! She has been so brave throughout this whole thing, but poor thing has gone down hill these past few weeks. She had a ton of fluid on her lungs so they drained it and it was not easy for her to get through, so they had to put her on oxygen and she is currently at her home in Utah County with the nurses checking on her daily. We were able to have her 77th birthday party on Sept. 19(actual birthday was Sept. 25) with her feeling a little bit better. It was so great to see her and reminise. She is such a wonderful lady whom I will always look up to. I was able to live very close to her while growing up and enjoyed spending tons of time with her.
For her birthday all the family wrote their memories down and we put them in a little book for her to read, she really appreciated it. Here is what I wrote:
Memories of Grandma Folsom!
I've been so lucky to have been able to grow up and live so close to my Grandparents. Grandma you have taught me so much! I absolutely love projects/crafts and I'm a firm believer that this is because of you and because you've been so patient and loving in the way that you have taken the time to teach me so much. I remember going to your house and helping you with your braided rugs, making pies, sewing projects, etc. You were always so much fun to visit and work with, because we would never go home hungry and you would always take the time to play games with us until we were worn out. You taught me to always keep busy and to love what I was working on. I was so greatful to have you and Grandpa come and visit us when we lived in Boston. What a wonderful one on one time we had together. It was fun showing you the city and the sites around. It was also so nice to be able to go to the temple with you. What a wonderful thing to know that no matter what happens, we will always have each other for eternity. One of my favorite trips to this day, was going down to California for your 50th Wedding Anniversary. It was so nice to be able to spend time with you guys. Thank you for your example with being such a faithful member of the church, and wife to your husband. It means a lot to see what a great marriage is all about, and to have that great example to look forward to. My kids have loved the time that they have had to visit you as well, they remember going down to your place and going swimming, also going to the petting zoo and out to lunch. It has been wonderful to see them interact and get to know their great grandparents, because you really are GREAT! My husband absolutely loves you as well, he mostly enjoys teasing with you and doesn't mean it seriously, so remember it's all out of love! Grandma, to this day I love to learn new projects and am eternally greatful for every moment that I have had to spend with you. You are amazing and such a great influence in my life, and I look forward to having my little family and myself make many more new memories with you!
I Love you with all my heart,
Candace
My Grandpa has been so good to take care of my Grandma, all her life she has done so much for everyone else so now he is repaying her. What a wonderful example of sacrifice! He has always been so cute to watch as he playing with all the kids!

My sister Tanya and I at Grandmas birthday party, she wasn't feeling too well near the end of the party!

Morgan was too cute as she jumped with the other kids on the trampoline!

Labor Day Fun!

While most people got to go on vacation for the whole weekend, we had to stay home so that Jason and I could teach Elders Quorum and Relief Society lessons. We were so excited about this, ha ha! But hey, we got it over with and it went great for both of us.
We wanted to go camping but the weather said that it was going to be rainy so instead we headed up past Park City to 'Rockport' to a reservoir that we had never been to and we went swimming and hung out on the beach. The kids loved playing in the sand/mud and just having a bit of freedom. It was funny and kind of annoying though, because they didn't like getting muddy, except for Morgan she loved every minute of it.
So yeah, as you can see Jason and the kids went swimming, I made sure from the shore, that noone drowned.
Morgan is trying to share with Henry in this picture, but I think that he is too cold from being in the water. What a nice sister, eh?
Here's our crazy big girl! She had so much fun and tried to do everything that her daddy did. What a competitive little girl, she takes after daddy on that one!
We had a great time with our little family! It's nice to get one last little water day in before it starts getting way too cold!

Henrys First Day of Preschool!

I told you that he is growing up! He was so excited to go to preschool today. Daddy came with us to take Henry and he ended up just running off, I could barely get a few pictures of him.
(I've been madly blogging lately, but now I think that things are going to be slowing down as far as big things going on, so I can take a bit of a break.) Henry is going to the same preschool that Katelyn went to, so he is kind of familiar with it. She was excited to be the big sister and fill him in on the rules of Ms. Amys classroom. I don't think that he really paid too much attention.
Henry and his neighbor friend Becca with Ms. Amy!
After school the kids all came out and were so excited to tell us all about their day at preschool!
Henry has a lot of friends in his class so he is way excited for that! The teacher said that he was great as far as potty training went, yeah! He does need to practice on listening a bit better though! We'll work on that part!

Finally Potty Trained!

We thought that this day would never happen, but low and behold it has arrived. Henry is now officially a big boy, I can't believe it either!
Warning, some of the following pictures may not be suitable for children-he he! He likes to watch himself and gets a big grin on his face everytime he goes, he is so proud of himself, just as we are of him.
Sorry, this picture was just too cute to pass up! He cracks me up! Get it-cracks!

Everytime someone in the family goes to the bathroom, Henry says 'You potty trained!' It's cute! Most of Henrys little friends are all potty trained and I thought that this day would never arrive because he refused to go #2 and then finally after going in his big boy underwear a couple times he did it and goes by himself now, it's amazing. One night I decided to not put pullups on him either and he has never wet the bed since(about 2 weeks so far) so he is truly potty trained, just in time for preschool. Yipee!
When Katelyn got potty trained we took her to Chuck e Cheese so we told Henry we'd do the same thing and he absolutely loved it. The kids had a blast and ran wild. We lost Morgan(well Jason lost her) and one of the workers brought her out of the kitchen. I guess that she was hungry. Yeah, we felt dumb!
Good ol 'Chuck-e-Cheese'
He came up to Morgan and she just starting crying so hard, it was kind of funny! Poor girl!

Top of Utah 1/2 Marathon!

Yes, that is right! I did another half marathon, that is two in less than a month and it will definetly be a while before I do another one. My body is telling me to take a break! It was a great day for a race and I had a good time, but enough is enough for a bit. Here is my little cheerleader that comes with me everywhere. She came up to Logan with me for a girls weekend and to hang out with her cousins, she was in heaven!
What a team! These friends are awesome and great motivators, I couldn't have done it without them and their help and support! They got me out of bed at 6am or earlier to train for this race! It was worth it though!
It was so nice to have someone waiting and cheering for me at the finish line(background). Nate and Brianne got their kids and Katelyn out of bed and drove across town to come cheer me on. You guys are awesome. As soon as I saw Brianne we both started crying, it was nice to have someone know and appreciate the hard work and effort that this took. She could tell that I was very very tired. Nate had run a full Marathon a couple years back, so he definetly can relate.
Well the next goal is to do a 5K or a 10K with my sisters, so you better start training!
